ADELANTE Programme: Triangular Cooperation European Union Latin America and the Caribbean

From September 24 to 28 of 2018, the 2nd Meetings of the Technical Reference Committee were held in the cities of Medellín and Popayán, Colombia.

The technical references of the National Institute of Industrial Technology, the National Institute of Agricultural Technology, the Faculty of Agronomy of the UBA of Argentina; the State University of Maringá of Brazil; the Indio Hatuey Experimental Station of Cuba; the Board of the Sericícola Tourist Center and Rebocería de Michoacán de México; the Pontifical Bolivarian University of Colombia; Cooperativa Socio Lario of Italy; and the Ecuadorian State University of Ecuador, participated in the 2nd Meeting of Technical Referees of the Seda Project, co-financed by the European Union, which aims to contribute to the reduction of poverty in the Latin American and Caribbean region through sericulture with a sustainable approach and added local value.

The work days were organized with presentations on the activities carried out and work tables to plan future actions; new participating actors; help funds; management indicators.

In addition, the professionals toured the laboratories of the Engineering Department of the UPB; the advances of the New Materials Research Group; the University of Cauca and artisans and sericultural producers of the Cauca region.
