CONTRIBUTION FROM CROSSCUTTING TOPICS

Goal 12.A

Support developing countries to strengthen their scientific and technological capacity to move towards more sustainable patterns of consumption and production

Justification:

The SA CUBA project contributes to target 12.A through the training of technicians and professionals from laboratories belonging to the Central Unit of Central Laboratories for Agricultural Health on residues of veterinary medicines, BSE, aflatoxins, salmonella, avian influenza and swine diseases. These trainings are later replicated by means of trainings sessions to the units that produce meat for human consumption. In this way, in addition to purchases that improve laboratories, scientific and technological capabilities are enhanced to improve access to safe food and a more sustainable production.
