The Coordinator of the Mirada Ciudadana project, Mtra. Lucy Larrosa was selected to study a Diploma in South-South and Triangular Cooperation at the Complutense University of Madrid. Said instance was held on May 7 and 11 of this year in Madrid.

The Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation (AUCI) and the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB), granted five scholarships for Uruguay to carry out this training.

This scholarship means a recognition to the Intendency of Cerro Largo, for their work trajectory, especially in Cooperation with the European Union and in particular with AUCI, which is betting on generating an Integrated System of International Cooperation of Uruguay, and of which Cerro Largo is part

The Ibero-American Program for the Strengthening of South-South Cooperation (PIFCSS) selected two techniques from Uruguay to participate in the face-to-face module of the Diploma on behalf of Uruguay. The criterion for the selection of fellows used was that of better grade averages, having chosen 39 out of 99 participants from 17 countries in Latin America, Portugal and Spain.

The Closing Ceremony of the Diploma in South-South Cooperation was held on Friday, May 11 at 5:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the UCM Student Building. The event was chaired by Mr. Carlos Andradas, Rector of the Complutense University of Madrid and Ms. Rebeca Grynspan, Ibero-American General Secretary. It was attended by Mr. José Ángel Sotillo, Director of the University Institute of Development and Cooperation - UCM and Mr. Daniel Castillo, Technical Secretary of the Ibero-American Program for the Strengthening of South-South Cooperation. In this context, Lucy Larrosa also held a working meeting in Madrid with the Team Leader of the ADELANTE Program Technical Assistance, Mr. Javier Gavilanes.
