Mirada Ciudadana continues working on strengthening municipalities in Cerro Largo.

On Monday, September 18, Plácido Rosas was invited to perform activities to strengthen the Municipality of this locality.

In this opportunity a workshop was held at 16:00h with the Management Team and Municipal staff, to evaluate progress based on the first workshop where they detected some issues to improve management, in the three pillars: planning, communication, coordination and implementation of activities.

It was found that several government employees are motivated and have included tools provided in the previous workshop to their daily work, stating that they have been useful and are valued in a positive way to improve their work. One of the aspects rescued by the participants is that internal communication has visibly improved from the strengthening workshops.

At 6 p.m., a workshop was held with the community to follow up on the previous workshop, which identified areas of interest where the community wanted to participate: 1) Promotion and rescue of the identity of Plcido Rosas, 2) Development of spaces for citizen coexistence that are specifically cultural and recreational, 3) Coordination with other organizations to generate training opportunities, infrastructure and access to services to improve the quality of life of the neighbors.

In this opportunity working groups are formed to support the Municipality in the development of these three lines of action.

It was agreed to carry out a new instance to support the design of the work plan and its implementation.
