Other programs funded by the European Union

 

AL-INVEST is one of the most important international cooperation projects of the European Commission in Latin America. It began in 1994 seeking to attract European investments to Latin America and over time, seeing the realities of the region, it changed to promote internationalization and boost the productivity of tens of thousands of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Latin America.

COPOLAD is a bi-regional cooperation program financed by the European Commission through EuropeAid, with a budget of 10 million euros and an execution time of 48 months, starting in January 2016. The program, which is implemented by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the countries that make up the European Union (EU), promotes the promotion of drug policies based on evaluation instruments, and based on proven strategies.

El PacCTO is an Assistance Program against Transnational Organized Crime (EL PAcCTO). It is a common initiative of European and Latin American countries that began to be devised in 2015 and which materialized in 2017 with the start of activities in its office in Madrid. THE COURT is funded by the European Commission with 19 million euros for a period of five years.

EUROCLIMA+ is a program funded by the European Union, which offers a wide range of specialized services aimed at supporting the implementation of the Paris Agreement commitments in the field of climate governance, financing and technical assistance for the execution of projects with Latin American countries in: Forests, biodiversity and ecosystems; Energy efficiency; Water management with a perspective of urban resilience; Disaster risk management and reduction; Urban mobility; Resilient Food Production

EUROsociAL+ is a cooperation program between Latin America and the European Union that seeks to contribute to the improvement of Social Cohesion in Latin American countries, as well as to institutional strengthening, by supporting its processes of design, reform and implementation of public policies, focusing its action in the areas of gender, governance and social policies.
