At INTA Clodomira, Santiago del Estero, they managed to complete the silkworm breeding cycle.

Technical expert Juan Carlos Abdala, the leader of this extension unit, told us about the difficulties they had to face this year in terms of production: "it was very difficult because mulberry leaves had to be harvested on trees located in the middle of the mountains, far from the city, due to the fumigations to eradicate Dengue".

The expert explained that despite the challenges posed by the situation, they were able to control and complete the breeding process; he also shared a video of the agro-ecological undertaking/venture that they were able to accomplish, which can be seen on Facebook, at link.
