Last Monday, the coordinator of the Mirada Ciudadana Project, together with the representatives of Gender and several Mayors of Cerro Largo, participated in a workshop in the city of Tacuarembó, where they worked on the topic of International Cooperation and also on the Gender issue in Subnational Governments.

In this instance, the Municipalities of Tupambaé, Aceguá, Ramón Trigo, Rio Branco and Noblía participated. It was very enriching, since the Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation (AUCI) made a presentation, reporting on what is done in our country on the subject. On the other hand, the Intendencias of Rivera and Cerro Largo shared their own experiences, which proved extremely productive.

In that same workshop, the opportunity was taken to present some details for the Hemispheric Summit of Mayors and Local Governments, which will take place this month on August 29, 30 and 31 in the city of Punta del Este, where the 9 municipalities will be participating of Cerro Largo. It was also a meeting in which some aspects of the participation of the Mayors in this meeting were prepared.
