From the Mirada Ciudadana Project of the ADELANTE programme, we continue to provide technical assistance and training to the Municipality of Presidente Franco, developing various activities that strengthen its institutionality and civil society. Many meetings and activities were held for 4 days in the second week of July.

The Mirada Ciudadana team provided technical assistance to several NGOs in the formulation of projects and in the identification of funding sources as well as to the Association of Tourism Companies of Presidente Franco.

With the Municipality

With regard to the work carried out with the Municipality of Presidente Franco, the Project's experts monitored the actions developed with the women entrepreneurs and the collection of key information to prepare and present support projects to different institutions.

There are more and more of us, making new agreements

During the mission to Presidente Franco, the Project Coordinator, Lucy Larrosa, and members of the technical team met with institutions interested in working with the project. On this occasion, a working meeting was held with authorities from the Alto Paraná Governor's Office who requested support to improve the work with all the municipalities in the department. In a very productive meeting with authorities from the Development and Integration Agency of the Itaipu Region (Agencia de Desarrollo e Integración de la Región de Itaipú - ADIRI) - located in the municipality of Hernandarias - the foundations were laid for both ADIRI and the municipality of Hernandarias to be integrated into the training process.

On the other hand, the foundations were laid for the signing of an agreement between the Universidad Privada del Este (UPE) and the Mirada Ciudadana Project, which includes technical assistance provided by the University to groups of small business women and other vulnerable sectors identified by our project. This agreement arises from the training that enabled UPE to start developing its R.S.E. programme.
