  • Héroes Fest, the second largest festival of entrepreneurship in Latin America created in Colombia, now also in Honduras.
  • This space of entrepreneurship has been created by "Innpulsa Colombia", a company that opens borders and promotes spaces of economic development in the countries of Mesoamerica.
  • In Héroes Fest, participants find different scenarios in which they acquire tools and knowledge to strengthen their entrepreneurial initiatives.
  • Héroes Fest Honduras 2019 is held within the framework of the Project for Entrepreneurship and Business Development in Mesoamerica -EDEM, as part of the European Union's ADELANTE programme, under the coordination of the Presidential Agency for International Cooperation, APC-Colombia.

The Héroes Fest was held on 7 and 8 November 2019 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, with the aim of presenting no less than 16,000 MSMEs, which are part of the MSMEs Network of Honduras, with various tools and opportunities available in this country to facilitate and motivate entrepreneurs to boost their businesses.

The objective is to promote innovation and the use of technologies in this field, in order to materialize the construction of favorable and positive environments for business growth. The Presidential Agency for International Cooperation, APC-Colombia, coordinates this commitment, which is carried out within the framework of the "Project for Entrepreneurship and Business Development in Mesoamerica - EDEM", as part of the European Union's ADELANTE Programme.

This initiative, which is also supported by the Honduran government, allows participants to live a completely innovative experience, in which through workshops, conferences, experience room and mini job fairs, among others, they are given an opportunity to acquire new ideas for their companies or projects, and facilitates the connection with other small and medium entrepreneurs to create business ideas that generate impact and also promote agents of change in their community.

On the first day of the event, workshops were held on intellectual property, new registration and formalization mechanisms, as well as a photography course for entrepreneurs and a workshop to promote entrepreneurial skills. Similarly, a conference was held on how to build a value proposition and make a pitch, which are two key components of entrepreneurship.

On the second day, attendees were offered to take part in workshops on food technology, innovation in traditional entrepreneurship, tax legalization, using networks to do business, health registration and licensing, and how to do business in the digital age.

This is the first Héroes Fest edition in Honduras, after this country obtained the license to implement the model ahead of other Mesoamerican nations. The organizing team, integrated by the Secretariat of Economic Development (Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico - SDE) through the Mipyme Business Development Center of the Sula Valley and the National Service for Entrepreneurship and Small Businesses (Servicio Nacional de Emprendimiento y Pequeños Negocios - Senprende), finds in this achievement an opportunity for regional promotion through companies.

The Héroes Fest Honduras 2019 is taking place at the Convention Center of the Hotel Copantl.
