With the EUROCLIMA+ Programme, the project jointly organised the seminar called "Evaluación de políticas de adaptación y mitigación del cambio climático" -Evaluation of climate change adaptation and mitigation policies.

The Directorate General for Sustainable Development Policies (DGPOLDES) of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation (MAEUEC) has invited the project to be part of a group of expert evaluators to exchange views on the review process of the OECD/DAC evaluation criteria.


We strengthen institutions respecting their way of doing and their values. When we look for evidence-based policy decisions, we need to generate behavioral changes and this is facilitated if we work with a group of homologous institutions. Meetings, product review and recommendations for improvement affect institutional development. We are accelerating (SDG16) by accompanying our partner institutions, while contributing to a more egalitarian and sustainable society (SDG5, SDG10, SDG13) through of alliances (SDG17) for the benefit of citizenship.

On September 26, the EVALÚA European Triangular Cooperation Project, managed by the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP), was presented at the Casa de América headquarters.

The event served to guide the use of the results of the evaluation and managed to draw a roadmap to implement the recommendations for the construction of the new national policy.

Mexico City hosts the first Workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation of Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Policies, a regional meeting where experts on public policy and climate change assessment work together to improve climate policies in Latin America.

The capital of Costa Rica, San José, has hosted the celebration of the workshop “Towards a Regional Assessment Agenda”, within the framework of the project for the Promotion of the Evaluation of Government Policies in Latin America and the Caribbean.

This project is included within the first call of the European Commission with a focus on cooperation between southern countries, based on the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness. The workshop was held on the occasion of the official launch of the project before the regional authorities and representatives of the European Commission. In addition, the event has been used for the approval of the Annual Operative Plan (AOP) by the entities participating in the project.
