We continue to support the municipality of Aceguá, Brazil, in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

From the Mirada Ciudadana project, we continue to make our contribution to the Municipality of Aceguá, Rio Grande do Sul, on the application of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to its different management areas. Along these lines, the 2nd ODS Workshop was held with local governments. The areas of Productive Development, Strategic Planning, Finance and Works of the municipality, together with Prefeito Gerhard Martens, presented their objectives and results.

Continuing with what had been done, they completed the survey on what actions undertaken by the municipality are linked or aligned to the SDGs. The technical team of the project presented the information available from the United Nations on the subject, presenting measurements and indicators on Municipalities of Brazil, with simulators that allowed comparing them using Human Development indicators.

The project will collaborate raising awareness of the directions of this municipality on the SDGs and the presentation of the municipal strategy, at the request of Prefeito Martens. For this reason, the technical team will contribute to the systematization of the information and prepare its presentation in the community and in the activities developed by this municipality.

On the other hand, in another order, the Prefeito Martens confirmed that it will participate in the XIII Hemispheric Summit of Local Mayors and Governments as a member of the Mirada Ciudadana project. This meeting will take place at the end of August in the city of Punta del Este, on the 29th, 30th and 31st.
